My Little Song to Mary, the Immaculate
By
Ronald D. Curley
Mater Dei, the Immaculate Conception, the Wisdom of God, our Elect Lady, Mother of our Creator, our Second Eva, Blessed of your Son, Jesus, our Lord and Savior, I dedicate these words to you. They are less than perfect for such an one as you. Yet, with you, my Lady, I offer them to God through you, since you have been elected by our Lord and God to be the Mother of the Church through these perilous times in the wilderness.
Revelation 12:1-18
1 A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.
I see you in my heart of hearts, our Mother, the Elect Lady, Coronated, as Israel's greatest daughter, our daughter of Jerusalem. Hail Mary, full of grace, assumed and coronated by your Son, lifted up into the Heaven of heavens, now, appearing as the great sign in the midst of the apokalypsis of St. John, who was there with you at the foot of the Cross when Jesus gave you to St. John. Now, my Lady, I see you with St. John glorified with the Glory of your Son.
You are our Lady.
You are brighter than the sun and the moon's reflected light. Yet, there is brightness and a softness to your glory, my Maria. Queen of patriarchs and Queen of apostles, your twelve stars shine brightly, as the people of Faith are one, from Abraham to Isaac, to the Israel of God. I see you are clearly with us in this last hour.
You are, indeed, are what we ought to be in Christ.
2 She was with child and wailed aloud in pain as she labored to give birth.
Your Blessed and Holy Child, Jesus, made you cry within, the suffering of unique Motherhood was upon you in the labor to bring forth this Holy One. How pierced was your heart, and holy womb, when Jesus came into the world. That Holy One born of you would be cxalled, the Son of the Most High.
What Joy he is, yet, suffering was not unmixed with Joy, for suffering is the Way of God unto eternal life. We take up our cross and follow him, via crucis.
So, there in Bethlehem, the House of Bread, our Savior was brought forth in pain. Christus natus est. And, with that pain we are born anew as new creations in your Christ.
3 Then another sign appeared in the sky; it was a huge red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and on its heads were seven diadems.
Yet, there was that one, our Lady, that wielded power over our first Eva. The dragon, red with the blood of saints, the fulness of evil and the fulness of condemnation, the fulness of usurpation of that which is of God, that one, with hatred within his selfish ambition beyond belief, made his way to destroy the fruit of your womb.
4 Its tail swept away a third of the stars in the sky and hurled them down to the earth. Then the dragon stood before the woman about to give birth, to devour her child when she gave birth.
With a sweeping motion, devoid of any loving care, a third of the host of the heavens were hurled to the earth. And, there, most Elect Lady, he desired, like Molech, the blood of your Son. He is the author of the culture of death in which we live.
5 She gave birth to a son, a male child, destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod. Her child was caught up to God and his throne.
But, greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. Christus natus est. The Son of the Most High God, our Immanuel, was born. All nations would come to him, the Prince of God, our Israel, and you, daughter of Zion, gave him birth.
Through the pain and suffering, Jesus was caught up to God and his throne. He will come again in glory. We thank you for your Magnificat.
6 The woman herself fled into the desert where she had a place prepared by God, that there she might be taken care of for twelve hundred and sixty days.
O, Elect Lady, how my heart now palpitates with the Joy within it, as I see your pleasant face, lighted with the Light of Jesus, as the moon reflecting the rays of the Sun of Righteousness. What redemptive Love is shown there, as you lead us to your Son, Jesus Christ, our Redeemer.
You are with us in this valley of tears.
God prepared a place for you for the time of Jacob's trouble. Israel will come through the fire with you, because you are the Elected Lady and the Mother of the Church, the people called out of the world to God.
Chirstus natus est and we are born again with him.
7 Then war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels battled against the dragon. The dragon and its angels fought back,
8 but they did not prevail and there was no longer any place for them in heaven.
O, Mary Mother of the Church, pray for us.
Mary, Mother of the Faithful, pray for us and show us Christ's Salvation. And, St. Michael comes on call and brings militant relief. The dragon and his angels fight to no avail, as war breaks forth in Heaven and the fury of the battle is clearly seen. Satan and his host are cast down !
Oh, Maria, how wonderful it is that we see this all, a revelation associated with yourself. We see the matter clearly -- Satan is a defeated foe. And, you have shared in Victory, for Christus Victor.
"Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do you, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls. Amen."
9 The huge dragon, the ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, who deceived the whole world, was thrown down to earth, and its angels were thrown down with it.
His is cast down and the glory of the Lord will be revealed, Beloved. Oh, Mary, pray for us as you are with us under the protective Hand in that Place of the Holy One, God prepared in the desert. Oh, Parakletos, thank you for remaining with us, Spirit sent from Jesus and the Father, One God, our Place of Refuge and Peace in time of trouble.
10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:
"Now have salvation and power come,
and the kingdom of our God
and the authority of his Anointed.
For the accuser of our brothers is cast out,
who accuses them before our God day and night.
Shout for Joy, because the Regnum Christi has come. The Anointed, the Messiah, the Christ of Mary, O, sweet Mother of Jesus, has come to rescue her with the remnant of her seed. O, Blessed be the Seed of the Woman, O, Jesus of our Mater Dei.
11 They conquered him by the blood of the Lamb
and by the word of their testimony;
love for life did not deter them from death.
What little cost it is to us who love our Lord and Mary, our Deus et Sanctissima. It is the Blood of the Lamb we drink and the broken Bread we eat through the Holy Liturgy of the Word and Eucharist, where we learn it is better to give our lives up willingly for the Love of God constrains us.
This is our testimony, beloved of God and Mary.
12 Therefore, rejoice, you heavens,
and you who dwell in them.
But woe to you, earth and sea,
for the Devil has come down to you in great fury,
for he knows he has but a short time."
We have, Elect Lady (with you), Victory in Jesus. Pray for us, Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
13 When the dragon saw that it had been thrown down to the earth, it pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child.
Fruitlessly does the dragon pursue the Woman and the Fruit of her womb. She bears the Body of Christ and she protects within God's Place for her.
14 But the woman was given the two wings of the great eagle, so that she could fly to her place in the desert, where, far from the serpent, she was taken care of for a year, two years, and a half-year.
15 The serpent, however, spewed a torrent of water out of his mouth after the woman to sweep her away with the current.
How fruitlessly, the dragon tries to destroy the Fruit and Lady.
God had already promised Noah that the world never again would be destroyed by water. O, Blessed Water of Life, God through Mary has made it to our benefit, as you did at Lourdes, when St. Bernadette in faith believed the words of God through Mary. We long for living waters. What can Satan do to us with the waters that God has made for our benefit?
Let us stand upon the Rock of Christ, and maintain our stand within the Bark of Peter.
O, Holy Spirit, that moved upon the waters of the Genesis, the same has moved upon these and allowed the earth to swallow them up. Behold, too, the other song of Miriam, the song that Moses sang with another remnant from Egypt, when waters of the Red Sea parted. Here, before the Place and blessed feet of Mary, the waters are abated and swallowed up. A greater than Moses is here. "Out of Egypt I have called my Son."
16 But the earth helped the woman and opened its mouth and swallowed the flood that the dragon spewed out of its mouth.
17 Then the dragon became angry with the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring, those who keep God's commandments and bear witness to Jesus.
Mary, our Lady, the Seat of Wisdom, the Queen of the Saints, how gracefully you help us. Pray for us , our Lady, that we may be made worthy to receive the promises of Christ -- "They conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; love for life did not deter them from death."
So, the dragon has no where to go, therefore, 18 It took its position on the sand of the sea, where there will be those who are of this world that follow him.
What satisfaction in Christ it is for this heart, dear Lady, to know the end of the matter in the apokalypsis of Christ by St. John. There, you stand in the midst of the verses of Holy Scripture as the Great Personage, the Woman God has promised (Genesis 3), a Protectress of the Seed and your remnant (the rest of your offspring), reflecting the Light of Jesus, as the soft moon we love to see at night, in that dark night coming, that has been, and is now. Ever has it been the same.
There is Victory in Jesus, for, our Victory resides in Mary and the Church.
We know that we are never, never, alone.
And, you have taught us to pray with the Rosary -- Oh, my Jesus, forgive us of our sins and save us from the fires of hell and lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of your Mercy.
Mother of Mercy, pray for us that we may become, and be presented faultless, through the merits of Christ, with you, the Church, a chaste virgin for Christ.
Cantus ad Miriam. . .
